The Impact of Community Coming Together
Incorporated in 1980 as a non-profit organization, QLLA Charities has enjoyed a longstanding tradition as the charitable arm of the Quechee Club (Quechee Lakes Landowners Association), located in the beautiful Upper Valley region of Vermont. With the vision of bringing residents together to make a positive and significant impact in the local community, we have been able to raise meaningful funds for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock, now known as Dartmouth Health Children’s, as well as for other local causes.
QLLA Charities was originally organized to host a Pro-Am golf tournament for the benefit of area hospitals of the time. That tournament has evolved into the CHaD Classic Golf Tournament and goes hand-in-hand with the Annual CHaD Gala, a summertime evening of entertainment, great food and great company. Both events now support the Ken & Vickie French Child Advocacy and Protection Program (CAPP) at Dartmouth Health Children’s. The CAPP Program was created to help evaluate and treat suspected young victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse and/or neglect in both New Hampshire and Vermont. Your philanthropic support is critical in caring for these children and goes directly into an endowed fund that QLLA Charities established in 2005 specifically for this program as well as to providing yearly operating assistance for CAPP as needed.
QLLA Charities is proud to be a part of the very generous Quechee community and we look forward to broadening our scope of support in the coming years. Read about how you can help us make a difference in the Upper Valley (PDF).
